The Career VOLTA chapter that addresses how to think of ourselves as a brand gave me great insight as a business owner on two fronts: What I need to work on regarding how people view me and how to expand my business beyond being a person with a job into something that has much greater potential—becoming a brand.

I also found the concept of how to win the support from others to be very helpful—by getting people to envision how everyone can be successful together. I also liked Lois’s advice on how to say no because saying yes can come from a place of desperation. Saying no comes from a place of COURAGE!
